Sabbatical Reflections: Part 2

Life Coaching

Last month we wrote about our daily insights and reflections during the first month of our 2-month travel sabbatical.  Being together 24/7 continued to bring us many insights within our relationship and how we desire to live our life going forward as we now return home.  We would like to share our additional insights from month 2 of our travel excursions:

  • Freedom exists when you let go of expectations and the past.
  • Boundaries are necessary for life.  It is up to us to uphold them and not compromise.
  • Surrender to what is… surrendering also brings more freedom to life.
  • Let go of outcomes.  Deal with what presents.
  • Focus on living from a service perspective.  Bring your servant’s heart to life.
  • Treasures await although sometimes we keep them buried.  Dig for the treasures inside of you.
  • Discover your hidden beauty, inspired during agate hunting.  Polish your strengths.
  • Be powerful like the ocean waves, yet know your limits.
  • Adjust to the high times and the low times.
  • Be the wave of love.
  • Let your heart guide your life.
  • Be a catalyst of change.
  • Take the risk.  There is no time like the present.
  • Sparkle in the light.  Be the light.
  • Feed your soul daily.
  • Be still and really listen.
  • Be willing to get wet sometimes.
  • Footprints are quickly covered—it is important to be intentional to leave your footprints within another’s heart.  What legacy will you leave behind?
  • Abundance, there is enough for everyone as no one gets it all or sees it all.  Embrace abundance.
  • Take a front-row seat in life.
  • Dream to do.
  • Sometimes you need to blow up everything to create something more beautiful and meaningful.
  • Carve your own path and be persistent.
  • Surround yourself with people who show you that life can be different and they are living proof of being authentic and free-spirited.
  • Never burn bridges. Be a bridge builder so there are no long-term regrets in life.
  • Follow your instincts.  The slowest road is often the most scenic route.  Sometimes you need to change positions to get a better view.
  • Don’t let things out of your control dampen your spirit.
  • Follow your bliss.  Stand tall, proud, and confident like the mountains.
  • Learn always.  Be a life-long learner.
  • Patience, patience, patience is part of life’s journey.
  • Everything you do, do it with passion.  When you follow your heart passion is present.
  • It is important to let off steam through talking about issues instead of holding it all in and erupting!
  • See all angles, as each view brings a different perspective.
  • Fear of what might happen vs. what is happening is a powerful difference.  Focus on what is happening.
  • Sometimes in life, we find ourselves on a road we don’t expect.  We need to endure the bumps in the road and maneuver through what lies ahead.
  • Take leaps, be in action.  Time to play big.  Where are you holding back?
  • There is more to life than making money and paying bills.  Enjoy all the moments that life offers.
  • Keep pushing upward, don’t let the weight of the world hold you down.
  • Be more spontaneous in life.
  • You have to be willing to climb to see the higher perspective in life.
  • Lessons keep coming over and over until you learn what there is to learn.

As I look at this list and the insights from last month’s newsletter I am so grateful for the opportunity to have had this powerful and soul-moving trip.  My heart, my purpose, my soul is refueled as I step back into the reality of life.  I know without a doubt that I am different at the core of my being because of this entire experience.  Now to only keep these insights alive in my day-to-day living.

I invite you to join me in integrating these insights into your life too!  Are you in?
