Gratitude

When we begin to acknowledge our blessings they multiply.

You may be thinking, “How can that be? How can the simple act of noticing abundance in our lives bring more of it?”

Those are great questions. And the answers to those questions are inside of you. The transformation from a scarcity mindset to an abundance focus becomes hardwired because you come to see the world differently. The realization is that life is lived from the inside out rather than from the outside in. 

What difference does living from the space of gratitude make from an inside out perspective? The first thing is the simple act of allowing rather than pushing away. Believing that you and I are worthy to receive what is offered brings more of it to us. This can be friends, money, or just the time spent doing things that we enjoy. Being grateful means feeling worthy in those experiences.

Feeling guilt for allowing these gifts into our lives is a place to reflect upon. 

Ask yourself, “What is causing me to feel unworthy of more?” 

Embracing what you allow into your life is the next important step. It is the personal way of using the gifts that are given. Your contribution to the space occupied on this planet. The talents that only you have that makes you special. 

If you are hesitant to show the world your unique gifts, ask yourself, “What am I hiding from?” 

Releasing gratitude creates more to be thankful for. This can be as simple as saying “Thank you” to someone who has given of themselves to you. It can also be investing your talents into someone who can create an impact greater than you can individually. 

A great reflection question is, “What change would I like to see in the world and how can I invest myself into others in order to plant those seeds of change?”

Being in Gratitude is an act of believing in more than can be seen, with a heart that is full of abundance on the inside, that creates positive change on the outside.

This is the season of Thanksgiving and Gratitude. How will you allow, embrace and release the bounty present in your life into the cycle of greater abundance in the world?

Our Pumpkin

Steve and I challenge you to engage in a fun gratitude activity for the upcoming month.  Daily, write what you are grateful for on a pumpkin.  Have everyone that you live with do the same.  As you write down each comment, deeply breathe in the gratitude, placing your hand on your heart.  Feel your heart expand.  Embrace the abundance in your life.

We did this activity in the month of October at home, and I also challenged my colleagues to do the same at work.  Our pumpkins are shown here.  What a powerful and heartfelt month it has been counting our blessings.  

Plan B if you don’t have a pumpkin, make a gratitude jar, placing your gratefulness on a piece of paper….read all statements on Thanksgiving together as a family.
